Eyes on the Staff: Tara

Next up in our staff series: Tara, who does many vital jobs around here, including serving breakfast, keeping the Hostel tidy, and being loud at the bar. No photographs of Tara are known to exist, but scientists have attempted to reconstruct a likeness of her which is displayed below.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to interview Tara and don’t have any fun facts about her, because I stayed up reading Wikipedia for many hours and got to work late today. One result of that, however, was that I found out some interesting things about other people named Tara:

  • Tara Lipinski is a gold medal winning Olympic figure skater who was active in the late 90s. She was the youngest person ever to win the U.S. Championships, doing so in 1997 at age 14. The following year, she defeated Michelle Kwan at the Winter Olympics in Nagano to become the youngest individual Winter Olympic gold medalist in history.
  • Tara King was a British spy in the 1960s. She used the number 69 when she enlisted in the Intelligence Service. (I swear this is true, at least according to Wikipedia.) She and John Steed did international spy stuff for a while after she replaced Emma Peel.
  • Tara Reid is an actor who has starred in many fine films, including American Pie, American Pie 2, and American Reunion. She used to be engaged to Carson Daly, but they didn’t go through with that. She has had a lot of plastic surgery. She was also in several episodes of Scrubs, which I happen to enjoy. Please don’t judge me.

A lot to live up to, but I personally think our Tara is awesomer than these other Taras.
