Music, burgers and chowder oh my!

Another week in the books, and another week that mother nature is throwing a big smirk our way as we continue to get no snow.  Almost a complete reversal from last year with the west coast catching all of the snow this time around, it’s now become a waiting game for all of us here on the east coast.  A foggy and rainy couple of days have left the mountain pretty beat but the temps will be dropping soon and hopefully bringing massive amounts of snow!  Thanks to the boys from DOJO for a great show on Friday night.

This week for music we welcome back Rob Morse and his band Talking Doctor, Friday, December 18th.  A jazz and rock inspired group, Talking Doctor takes you into a world where rock and jazz collide to create an intriguing and exciting sound.  Can’t even begin to say how excited we are to have these guys back.  Next week there will be no music due to the holiday.  The following week however we will be having two awesome shows. The first is the 6th Annual New Years Eve Eve party with none other than the Valley’s favorite band, The Grift.  For the last 5 years, the Grift has played to packed crowds here at the hostel giving everyone who has to work on NYE a chance to get out and party.  This show should start around 9 and who knows what the boys will have in store for us this year.  Then on the 2nd of January, we welcome back the Suspects Blues Band.  A fusion of musicians from around Vermont, we are very excited to welcome these guys back as well.

As always, Burgers on Thursday from 6-9pm

This weeks food offerings for guests and such will be: Stefanie’s Clam Chowder, Grilled Cheese, and mustard vinaigrette dressed greens.

Come down and hang out with us these weekend if you are looking for something do other than stare at the green mountain! Hope that everyone has a great week and few look forward to seeing all of you again when the snow is crushing the mountain!

Cheers,

Giles
